Terms of service

Last updated: August 10, 2026 · These terms are not yet binding — no legal entity has been registered for Whatsjson. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone.

Important: No legal entity (company, sole trader, or other organisation) has been registered for this tool. The operator has not yet established a legal identity. The following terms describe how the service is intended to operate. They will become binding when the operator registers a legal entity and updates this page with the entity name, address, and governing jurisdiction.

What this service is

Whatsjson is a JSON diagnostic tool. It accepts a URL or JSON text input and returns parsing results and fetch diagnostics. The tool is provided as-is, free of charge, for individual and commercial use subject to these terms.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Data

The service currently operates without user accounts, databases, or persistent storage:

See the privacy notice for details.

Availability

The service is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no uptime guarantee, SLA, or support commitment. The operator may discontinue the service at any time without notice.

Future features

The pricing page lists planned features under a "Pro" tier. These features — including batch URL checking, API access, and check history — are in development and not yet available. No payment is being accepted for them. When or if they become available, these terms will be updated to cover any changes to data handling, storage, or payment processing.

Billing and payments

Plans and pricing

Whatsjson offers two tiers:

When Pro becomes available

Once the Pro tier launches, the following terms will apply. They are stated here in advance so customers can make informed decisions.

Payment processor

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Whatsjson does not store or have access to your full payment card details. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and privacy policy for payment processing. A valid payment method is required to activate and maintain a Pro subscription.

Billing cycle

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on the date of initial purchase. Each billing period is one calendar month. The subscription auto-renews at the end of each period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

Failed payments

If a payment fails (card declined, expired, or insufficient funds), Stripe will retry the charge automatically up to three times over a period of approximately one week. You will receive a notification from Stripe when a payment fails. If all retries fail, access to Pro features will be suspended until a successful payment is processed. Your account and data will be retained for 30 days after suspension before any data removal, provided the Free tier equivalent of that data would also be retained under our data policy.

Cancellation

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Pro features until the period ends, and no further charges will be made. There are no cancellation fees.

Refund policy

Because Whatsjson is a diagnostic tool that provides immediate results, all Pro subscription charges are non-refundable except as required by applicable consumer law. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the service for an extended period, contact us (once a contact method is established) and we will evaluate a pro-rated refund on a case-by-case basis. The operator reserves the right to issue refunds at its discretion.

Price changes

The operator may change the Pro subscription price with 30 days' notice. If you are an existing subscriber, the new price will apply at your next billing cycle after the notice period. Continued use after the price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

Note: No payment processor is currently connected to the service. The Pro tier and its billing infrastructure have not been launched. The terms above describe the intended billing model and will become effective when a payment processor is connected and Pro is made available. The site's checkout form is a demonstration only — no real payment is taken.

Disclaimer of warranties

This service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The operator disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The diagnostic output of this tool is for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as definitive analysis.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use this service.

Governing law

No governing jurisdiction has been specified because no legal entity has been registered. Once the operator registers and identifies the entity, this section will be updated with the applicable jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Contact

No legal entity has been registered yet. The operator must register a legal entity and establish a contact method before this section can list one. This section will be updated when that information becomes available.
